The word,
spoken,
sustained…
then broken off
at the source,
the resonant remnants
soaring through space,
bounding
and rebounding
off walls,
sounding
and resounding
through the darkest
halls of night,
then turning
and returning,
the word, alive again,
escapes the empty,
echoing tomb.
