When I Look to See the Stars

by Hannah Elliott-Lindh

To the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

When I look to see the stars,
They seem close; I know they’re far.
Reach my hand to catch their light,
Hold it close with all my might.
Whisper all my hopes and dreams,
Throw it back, watch how it gleams.

Stars were made by God’s own hand,
Gifts that glimmer, guide the land.
Like each star, He knows me, too,
All I want and what to do.
God hears every wish and prayer,
Shines down blessings, always cares.

When I look to see the stars,
God seems close; He’s never far.
Reach my hand to catch His light,
Hold Him close with all my might.
Take your stars and give to Him,
Trust His path when yours is dim.
