The Savior’s Friendship

Even in paths of loneliness and hopelessness,
I trusted in Christ, the Lord.
He held me by the hand at each crossroads.

He gave me understanding,
In my mind and in my heart.
He took me in His arms
When I could not make things right.

In times of peace and calm,
He walked with me as a friend.
In paths of happiness,
He embraced me at every special moment.

What has the Lord done for me?
He has shown me His love
Even in my weakness.
At all times He has held out His Hand,
Such a real hand sometimes.
I can see it every day
In the people who know how to love me.
